Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and responsiveness to evolving project needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and integration within the project environment.
- Thorough understanding of SWIFT Architecture and thorough understanding on the Payments overview and it's flow
- Understanding of the SWIFT Net: The SWIFT IP Network, VPN's, firewall, MQ setup and interface with other systems and knowledge about the SWIFT Alliance Web platform, Gateway and Alliance Access
- Strong Knowledge and hands-on knowledge of implementing SWIFT CSP controls
- Development and Maintenance activities for SWIFT upgrades (security, version), Alliance Access File Structure, Scheduled jobs, Interface and Queue management
- Working knowledge on updating products for SWIFT Annual Standards/releases/mandatory application patching/quarterly security patches
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Payments Fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing systems and transaction workflows.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues related to payment systems.
- Familiarity with integration of payment gateways and security standards.
- Competence in designing scalable and maintainable software components.
- Experience, of Business / Functional Analysis in banking payments domain.
- Good understanding of payments schemes from either of the countries/regions via UK/SEPA/US/APAC
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to be able to effectively communicate technical change to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong leadership skills
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Payments Fundamentals.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
