As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves analyzing various client requirements and designing effective solutions to meet those needs. The role includes coding and testing multiple components of application software, ensuring that each part functions seamlessly within the overall system. Additionally, the position requires performing maintenance and enhancements to existing applications, adapting to evolving client demands and technological advancements. Collaboration with different teams and stakeholders is a key aspect, ensuring that the software developed aligns with project goals and quality standards. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead design and development of scalable full-stack applications using Node.js and React.
Architect modular frontends using Micro Frontend Architecture within the Checkpoint super app.
Build RESTful APIs and integrate with AWS cloud services.
Guide and mentor developers on coding best practices and system design.
Collaborate with product and architecture teams for technical design, estimation, and roadmap alignment.
Drive CI/CD adoption, code quality, and performance optimization.
Explore AI-native integrations using AWS Bedrock and MCP Tools.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
Minimum 9 years of hands-on experience demonstrating proficiency in the specified
Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
Experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture (Node.js)
AI-native tools: AWS Bedrock, GitHub Copilot, Claude code, Prompt Engineering, MCP Tools
Proven experience with Micro Frontend Architecture.
Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and REST APIs.
Hands-on with AWS SDK and cloud-native development.
Good understanding of frontend performance optimization.
Exposure to mobile development (Android – Java/Kotlin) is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and containerized deployments (Docker).
Exposure to AI- assisted development using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Amazon Bedrock, and prompt engineering
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 9 years of experience in Node.js.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
