- Job description

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Tax Compliance Team

• Ensure compliance to local statutory requirement and global standards

• Responsible in the preparation and review of tax returns, local income tax provision and deferred tax computation.

• Monitor changes in Philippines tax laws. Participate in identifying, communicating and implementing possible to existing practice

• Provide technical expertise and advise on complex tax issues. Point of contact and trouble-shooter for escalations, issues and concerns.

• Assist in coordinating responses to inquiries of government agencies, internal/external auditors and stakeholders regarding tax filings, compliances, claims and other matters

• Owner of all Tax Compliance processes. Ensure adherence to prescribed approvals and minimum requirements to comply with Tax and PEZA regulations

• Identify or co-sponsor Finance-related process improvements and innovation initiatives

• Demonstrate effective teaming skills both within and outside the team. Responsible in managing SLAs and maintain/poster good working relationship with entity, workgroup and geographic key contacts.

• Additional responsibility when applicable or assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) • At least 5 years Philippine taxation exposure • At least 2-3 years accounting & financial reporting experience • At least 3 years people management experience • Knowledgeable in SAP/Oracle is an advantage
