The Position:

 

This role will report to the AIO Head of Platform.

 

Enabling data driven insights, through descriptive analytics and algorithmic intelligence is at the core of the Accenture Interactive Operations vision and mission.

 

The purpose of the data management module of “SynOps for Marketing” is to enable AIO’s data driven and insight driven capabilities to power an intelligent service delivery model.  The “enablement” of the data driven services requires that an understanding of data enabled use cases are thoroughly understood and that the right data management, data processing, data exploration infrastructure can be developed and then leveraged by the right “analytics” teams to enable data services capabilities to be leveraged by our teams or directly by our clients to make better marketing or advertising decisions.  The enablement of this collection of capabilities and environments is the key focus of the data platform lead.

 

The Data Platform Lead is a key role to ensure that AIO develops an operating system within SynOps for Marketing that enables the use cases and delivery model for AIO analytics, data science, and machine learning engineering teams to create the insights required to power intelligent activation processes.

 

Beginning in Q1 FY19 the focus of this role will be to work closely with the AIO head of analytics & insights to translate functional requirements from CRM campaign use cases into technical requirements and a roadmap for the data management and processing module of SynOps for Marketing.  This focus will expand in FY19 to include an increasing set of use cases encompassing all of paid media managed services (paid social, search, and programmatic).  This role will collaborate closely with data architects within Technology for Operations, and service delivery teams across Digital’s Applied Intelligence and Operation’s Analytics as a Service teams to design the technical and service delivery aspects of this AIO capability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the “business to technical” liaison between the AIO Head of Analytics & Insights and the Platform Management team
  • Understanding and evaluating (co participating in the creation of where feasible) the functional use cases and requirements for all data driven capabilities for the enablement of AIO services
  • Developing the technical specification and requirement to support each of the varied enablement needs for the AIO data enablement services use cases
  • Evaluating technical requirements to make recommendations on the data management, process, exploration, and visualization components that will be required to enable AIO data and insight capabilities
  • Working closely with data management and processing architects to design the “data management” model of SynOps for Marketing
  • Developing the AIO data management (processing, exploration, and visualization) technical solution blue print
  • Reviewing 3rd party providers (Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Domo, etc.) for feature/function/technical fit with AIO’s data management needs
  • Develop and manage the roadmap for the data management roadmap for SynOps for Marketing
  • Manage as product lead / or as business partner (if borrowed) the development of the data management and processes component of SynOps for Marketing
  • Work closely with the AIO ecosystem lead to identify and evaluate emerging providers of data management & processing components that could be incorporated into SynOps for Marketing in the future
  • Work with the solutioning community to ensure that cost recovery mechanisms are in place for all aspects of the SynOps for Marketing “data management” operating system
  • Maintain a multiyear roadmap for the data management component of SynOps and support annual MD&I and Load planning
  • Support ongoing budget management and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with Tech for Operations and/or Digital Delivery to ensure that the core product management and dev ops teams or that advanced analytics teams are using best practices
  • Development and management of a “delivery” (data management) end user community to guide future enhancements
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams of 3+ people
  • Minimum of 5 years experience specific to market data analysis, financial analysis, predictive modeling techniques, and competitive analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience specific to data, analytics, and insights in the marketing/advertising functional area (or a demonstrated history of rapid learning to adapt historical experiences to new domain area)
  • 2-3 years of working with or managing teams working with advanced data management, data processing, and data science related exploration of data to create insights that drive business decisioning
  • Ability to meet travel requirements, 25-30% when applicable
  • Track record of success in building and managing a technically oriented process, teams
  • Experience managing budgets and cost management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to work collaboratively, in a matrix environment independently and multi-task
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
Professional Qualities:
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in self-directed learning activities, with an interest in continually developing and improving skills and knowledge
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Proficiency in Access, PowerPoint, and Word
