Accenture Semiconductor Practice is looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) & Product Engineering Consultant to help semiconductor clients transform their product development and commercialisation processes. You will work across fabless, IDM, and OSAT environments to bring structure, speed, and strategic alignment across the product lifecycle — from early-stage engineering builds through mass production ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Introduction (NPI)

- Drive phase gate reviews, product qualification, and ramp readiness activities
- Collaborate with client engineering and program teams to accelerate time-to-market and reduce late-stage rework
- Analyse and improve volume offloading strategies, including site transfers between Fab, OSAT, and test partners
- Drive insights on product maturity metrics such as yield stability, test coverage, and cost performance
Product Engineering & Lifecycle Management
- Map and align engineering (eBOM), manufacturing (mBOM), and repair (rBOM) structures to ensure data continuity and operational integration
- Work with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain) to manage engineering change notices (ECN) and product configurations
- Support the implementation or optimization of PLM systems, including workflows for part creation, release management, and change control
- Ensure product data integrity and traceability across the product lifecycle
Stakeholder & Programme Management
- Work with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders across design, manufacturing, and supply chain domains
- Support programme governance, status reporting, and issue resolution across NPI workstreams
- Contribute to knowledge-building and upskilling initiatives within the practice
Skills & Competencies
Technical
- Strong understanding of semiconductor NPI and lifecycle processes, including phase gate reviews, qualification, and ramp readiness
- Familiarity with PLM tools and BOM management (e.g. Agile, Windchill, Teamcenter)
- Knowledge of engineering change processes and product configuration management
- Ability to work cross-functionally across product engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain
Professional
- Strong project management and structured problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with an aptitude for compelling storytelling
- Consulting mindset with comfort in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Ability to effectively team with others in a large, global organisation
- Cross-cultural competence with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product engineering, NPI, or related roles within semiconductor, OSAT, or electronics manufacturing
- Exposure to product or programme engineering, NPI support, or process documentation
- Familiarity with any PLM platform (Agile, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.) is a plus
- Experience working with or implementing PLM systems and managing engineering change processes is highly desirable
- Prior consulting exposure or transformation project participation is an advantage
- Ability to work cross-functionally and engage with client stakeholders across design, manufacturing, and supply chain
