Job Summary
We are looking for an Associate Engineer – Frontend with foundational Node.js exposure, having 1–2 years of hands-on experience in building user-facing web applications and supporting backend services. The role focuses on developing high-quality, maintainable frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Next.js, along with contributing to server-side code using Node.js under guidance. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, understands component-based UI development, and has basic awareness of backend integration patterns.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend features using React and, where applicable, Next.js.
- Translate UI designs, wireframes, and Figma specifications into responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Contribute to backend development tasks using Node.js under guidance.
- Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable code with attention to performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain basic unit tests for frontend and backend components.
- Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile ceremonies.
- Continuously improve technical skills across frontend and Node.js backend technologies.
Professional and Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals including scope, closures, promises, and async programming.
- Hands-on experience with React and familiarity with hooks and component lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of Next.js concepts such as routing and rendering basics
- Foundational experience building simple backend services using Node.js.
- Understanding of REST APIs and basic error handling.
- Basic experience with Jest or similar testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences.
- Willingness to learn, seek feedback, and continuously improve technical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently on assigned tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
