YOUR ROLE: To head up the day-to-day running of the agency’s partnership with clients and to take major accountability for all aspects of the agency’s business in relation to your clients.
IN SUMMARY: You can’t go wrong if you nail all these elements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal Team:
Report to Business Lead / Group Business Director / Senior Business Director.
Manage, develop and support Business Managers and Business Executives.
Lead team (Business, Strategy, Creative, Production) to ensure efficient running of account.
Motivate and inspire the Business. Production and Creative teams to do their best work.
Be the internal brand champion for all your accounts – ensure all relevant Monkeys know the important stuff about your clients’ brands, category and competitors.
Manage the workflow, operational and quality issues within the Business team.
Creative & Strategy:
Be a creative & client ally.
Write creative briefs for Senior Business Director / Group Business Director to sign-off. Ensure creative briefs are approved by Creative Director/s before briefing team.
Be responsible for leading the creative briefing, including knowledge of category and competitor activity.
Lead internal Creative reviews, confidently sharing your opinion and ideas for building the work.
Ensure Group Business Director and Creative Director/s have approved all new creative ideas prior to Client presentation, plus first and last copy/artwork/flats/edits/scripts etc.
Prepare materials for Client presentations of creative work, including any strategic inputs needed.
Build strong partnerships with Creative and Strategy team partners.
Client:
Be the main point of contact for Client Marketing Managers.
Build relationships with relationships with Clients, outside of the transactional.
Play primary role in Client presentations, selling the idea, responding to questions and communicating Agency point of view.
Ensure contact reports are written after every meeting, then reviewed a day or two later to ensure all promised action points have been completed.
Become aware of every project coming up and going through the Agency on each piece of your Clients’ business.
Continually develop a deep understanding of the client’s broader business, the industry and the economic influences on the business.
Think proactively to surprise and delight the client with strategic, creative, competitive and production ideas they had not thought of.
Financial:
Work with Group Business Director to complete monthly billing and revenue report for Head of Business Management.
Ensure JCRs are managed efficiently every month (either by yourself or one of the Business Managers) so jobs are billed and closed in a timely manner.
Manage client budgets within the Agency in terms of Agency head hours and external production requirements. Flag scope creep and agree with Group Business Director how best to manage the client conversation.
Prepare/Review all estimates before sending to Client, alerting Group Business Director to any that you think may cause client concern.
Ensure all estimates are client approved and a PO received before any work is completed. Minimise write-offs.
Familiarise yourself with account retainer (structure and inclusions). Begin to identify opportunities to grow client’s business. Discuss ideas with Group Business Director.
Traffic & Production:
Ensure all jobs move through the Agency following the agreed process. Alert Traffic and Head of Production via email about all new briefs as soon as they’re received, including projected scope, timings, budget. Ensure all jobs are reflected in Agency WIP. Ensure Traffic and Production always have latest brief and timeline.
Review all production briefs written by Business Managers and Business Executives to check they contain all the relevant information needed.
Take responsibility for ensuring all production deadlines are met, flagging any potential issues with Group Business Director and client along the way.
