SAP RISE Technical Architect – Help Build the Future of Cloud Transformation
Accenture collaborates with leading organizations worldwide—often international enterprises with complex and hybrid IT landscapes. These clients rely on innovative SAP solutions such as S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, and SAP BTP, and are in the midst of transitioning to a cloud-first strategy supported by RISE with SAP.
We are looking for a SAP RISE Technical Architect to support these cloud transformations and help shape the IT landscapes of the future. In this role, you will work closely with clients and SAP to design, implement, and integrate SAP RISE solutions within existing infrastructures. You will play a key role in migrating to cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), optimizing system architecture, and ensuring scalable and secure integration of SAP systems with both internal and external parties.
You will ensure a future-proof architecture in which SAP systems, cloud services, and integration platforms work seamlessly together. At the same time, you guide clients through the technical decisions necessary for a successful transition to S/4HANA under the RISE with SAP concept, taking responsibility for the technical blueprint and delivering a stable, secure, and high-performing environment.
Your Job
As a SAP RISE Technical Architect at Accenture, you play a pivotal role in transforming complex IT landscapes into modern, scalable, and future-ready cloud solutions. You are the technical expert who guides clients through their transition to RISE with SAP, including SAP S/4HANA, Business Technology Platform (BTP), and integrations with hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
You combine hands-on technical expertise with strategic insight to design architectures that meet the demands of modern enterprises: agility, security, scalability, and performance. You ensure seamless integration of SAP solutions within the client’s existing infrastructure. A key aspect of your role is articulating the RISE journey and helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.
What will you do?
- Technical Leadership: Act as an architect and trusted advisor during SAP RISE initiatives, guiding clients on technical decisions related to infrastructure, migrations, security, and integration.
- Hands-on Expertise: Execute technical activities such as S/4HANA migrations, OS/DB migrations, upgrades, Unicode conversions, and cloud transitions.
- Cloud Migration Architecture: Provide technical guidance for migrations to Azure, AWS, and GCP, and design robust cloud-ready landscapes.
- Security & Access: Develop security solutions for SAP on-premise and cloud environments (e.g., two-factor authentication, SSO, and identity federation).
- Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve technical issues related to performance, integration, and system stability.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with international teams, clients, and external partners, and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Vision & Direction: Lead inspiring workshops, use storytelling to guide clients through the RISE journey, explain choices and scenarios, and coach junior team members.
Your Team
Within our Technology group, we support clients—from mid-sized businesses to global enterprises—on their S/4HANA and cloud transformation journeys. As a SAP RISE Technical Architect, you play a central role in this journey. You lead the definition of the technological direction, help clients choose the right cloud platform, assess solution impacts on risk management and vendor strategy, and explore how technology can enhance agility and future readiness.
By working closely with clients and an international team, you’ll leverage your SAP Basis expertise to guide the development and implementation of robust IT solutions. Your role includes overseeing system upgrades, managing lift-and-shift migrations, and facilitating cloud transitions, while applying your knowledge of RISE with SAP to evaluate pros and cons.

Your Background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a related field.
- A current SAP certification (e.g., SAP Basis, S/4HANA, or Technology Architect) is required.
- At least 10 years of experience as a SAP Basis consultant or architect, with a strong track record in complex landscapes and transformations.
- Deep expertise in S/4HANA, with experience in both greenfield and brownfield implementations.
- Experience with SAP RISE is a strong plus.
- Extensive experience with:
- OS/DB migrations and cloud transitions (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- SAP HANA platform: provisioning (SLT, SDI, etc.), management, scalability, and optimization
- SAP Fiori platform: configuration, integration, and lifecycle management
- SAP security and authorization management in complex environments
- Strategic thinker, able to work independently and serve as a sparring partner for both clients and colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills, quick to learn new technologies and platforms.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
