---ONLY THOSE APPLICANTS WHO ALREADY HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIVE AND WORK IN THIS COUNTRY ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE--- POSITION TITLE: Japanese Procurement Practice Specialist WORK SETUP: Hybrid OVERALL PURPOSE: We are seeking an independent and detail-oriented contracting professional to lead procurement contracting projects within the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle RESPONSIBILITIES: You will apply strong analytical skills, business judgment, and contracting expertise to deliver high-quality agreements, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with client requirements and playbook guidelines. In this role, you will independently lead contracting projects of increasing complexity, own redlining and negotiation of legal and commercial terms, and advise stakeholders on contract interpretation and governance. You will also champion the use of AI and digital tools to accelerate contract review, enhance reporting, and ensure accuracy across deliverables. As an advanced contributor, you will collaborate with sourcing managers, suppliers, legal, and the Contracting COE while serving as a trusted advisor and role model for best practices in contracting management. Key Responsibilities / The Work • Independently lead contracting projects across procurement agreements using client templates and playbooks, ensuring compliance and efficiency. • Own redlining of contract documents, propose alternative language, and negotiate legal terms with suppliers, escalating only when exceptions fall outside playbook guidance. • Independently negotiate commercial terms with suppliers, coordinating with sourcing managers for subject matter expertise when necessary, and ensure that commercial terms are clearly and accurately reflected in contract language. • Advise stakeholders on contract interpretation, compliance risks, and governance standards, providing guidance to sourcing managers and client teams. • Prepare, update, and disseminate information on contract status, compliance, risks, and modifications, ensuring adherence to client standards and global/regional contracting procedures. • Serve as a liaison with Legal and the Contracting COE for escalations, governance alignment, and policy compliance. • Champion AI and digital tools, applying enterprise-approved assistants to streamline redlining, contract clause review, and data summarization, ensuring validation and compliance. • Tailor communications for diverse audiences, preparing clear updates and summaries for stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams. • Manage concurrent complex contracting workstreams, delivering results in dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed environments. Qualifications (remaining): • Communication & Storytelling: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to prepare structured deliverables and tailor messaging for executives, stakeholders, and suppliers. • Tools & Platforms: Proficiency in procurement platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and AI-enabled productivity tools. • Education: (or equivalent professional experience). Legal degree and/or paralegal certification preferred. OTHERS: Project Shift Schedule: Night Shift Project Rest Day: Weekends Off Project/Team Location: Taguig, Uptown Bonifacio Tower 3
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • At least 5 years any work experience • Japanese N1 language only, no domain • Experience in procurement/legal/paralegal or contract management preferred only, NOT required • College graduate any course • Preferably Filipino candidate or the one that does not have visa issues/restrictions; no commitment on nationality, recruitment to endorse based on language proficiency requirement as confirmed in the 2/5 call • If mid-hiring, recruitment will encounter challenges in the nationality preference, open to N2 but to be discussed with the project • Open to TDOC movement as confirmed by the project • Open to level amendment
