Design, develop and maintain data solutions for data generation, collection, and processing. Create data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL (extract, transform and load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.
An Informatica Administrator's primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the Informatica platform, ensuring its smooth operation and security, including user access, performance, and capacity, as well as data quality. Key Responsibilities of an Informatica Administrator: Platform Administration: Manage and maintain the Informatica environment (e.g., PowerCenter, Cloud Platform). Install, configure, and upgrade Informatica software and related infrastructure components. Monitor the Informatica environment for performance, capacity, and availability. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Informatica. Perform regular maintenance activities, such as backups and system updates. User and Access Management: Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the Informatica platform. Ensure secure access to the platform and data. Data Quality and Governance: Implement and maintain data quality rules and processes. Monitor data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement. ETL Process Management: Create and manage schedules for ETL processes. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL workflows. Understand and design ETL processes. Documentation and Communication: Document Informatica configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Communicate technical information clearly and effectively. Other: Support Informatica/OBIEE/TimesTen capacity planning. Review project plans. Assist in preliminary planning discussions to determine objectives, scope, and constraints. Perform monthly scheduled maintenance activities. Provide production on-call support. Monitor and analyze server logs. Minimum 5 year(s) of experience is required
