Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance. The position demands continuous engagement with system components to ensure seamless operation and timely resolution of any disruptions that may impact business processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
AWS Cloud (EKS, ECS, ALB, VPC, Autoscaling)
Strong Kubernetes hands-on (cluster ops + debugging)
Linux systems & networking fundamentals
Incident management experience (real-time triage)
Monitoring & Observability: AWS CloudWatch and Dynatrace (hands-on usage for troubleshooting, alerting & root cause analysis)
Scripting/automation (Python, Shell preferred)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible – working knowledge)
AWS Cloud DevOps or Developer Certification (Associate/Professional level preferred)
Observability & Troubleshooting Expectations (Enhanced clarity)
Perform log and metric analysis using AWS CloudWatch & Dynatrace
Correlate metrics, logs, and traces for faster RCA
Move beyond dashboards derive actionable insights for incidents
Trace failures across distributed services (UI integration backend)
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with LLM / high-memory workloads
Exposure to ECS vs EKS architecture decisions
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines & release governance
Experience in production-grade scaling & performance tuning
Professional Attributes / Work Expectations
Ready to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts (24x7 operations support)
Hands-on experience handling live P1/P2 incidents is mandatory
High ownership during outages (no hand-offs mindset)
Calm and decisive under pressure
Clear communicator during incidents (business + tech teams)
Proactive in identifying risks before they become incidents
Strong collaboration across Dev, Infra, and Product teams
Experience
3–10 years in SRE / DevOps / Production Engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience managing production environments at scale
Key Differentiator
Operates in live demo and leadership-critical environments
Requires real-time decision making, not checklist-based support
Focus on modern distributed & LLM-heavy workloads
Strong emphasis on observability-driven operations & RCA
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps.
