Summary:
An experienced L2 Eagle Investment Platform Support Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in the Eagle Investment Systems platform. The role involves providing advanced application and production support for Eagle modules, troubleshooting data and processing issues, supporting batch cycles, and ensuring platform stability in a mission-critical investment management environment. The candidate should have solid experience in Eagle data architecture, message processing, and investment accounting workflows.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 support for Eagle platform modules including Accounting, Performance, Data Management, and Reporting.
- Monitor and support Eagle batch cycles (STAR engine, PACE engine).
- Troubleshoot Eagle data issues across holdings, transactions, securities, pricing, and reference data.
- Analyze and resolve Eagle message center errors (MC2).
- Perform data corrections using Eagle tools and controlled SQL updates (as per governance).
- Monitor interfaces between Eagle and upstream/downstream systems.
- Investigate performance issues and long-running jobs.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing.
- Provide detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and preventive recommendations.
- Coordinate with L3, infrastructure, database, and vendor teams (BNY Eagle support) for escalations.
- Participate in on-call rotation and critical incident management.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Core Eagle Platform Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Eagle Investment Systems architecture.
- Experience supporting: Eagle STAR (accounting engine), Eagle PACE (performance engine), Eagle Data Management, Eagle Reporting (Pace Reporting / Eagle Reports)
- Knowledge of Eagle data model (entities such as holdings, trades, securities, entities, prices).
- Experience with Eagle Message Center (MC2) monitoring and error handling.
- Understanding of Eagle Processing Center (EPC).
- Experience troubleshooting inbound/outbound data feed issues.
- Data & Database Skills
- Strong SQL skills (Oracle or SQL Server environment used by Eagle).
- Ability to:
- Query Eagle tables (e.g., holdings, transaction history, security master)
- Perform data validation and reconciliation
- Analyze batch failures using backend logs
- Batch & Job Monitoring
- Experience supporting Eagle daily batch cycles.
- Knowledge of job schedulers (Maestro, Control-M, Autosys, or similar).
- Ability to analyze STAR/PACE logs and resolve job failures.
- Understanding of Investment accounting concepts (NAV, accruals, corporate actions)
- Asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives)
- Performance measurement concepts
- Reconciliation processes
- Prior experience working in Asset Management / Investment Management domain.
- Experience interacting with BNY Eagle vendor support
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Capital Markets Reference Data.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
