Summary:
As a Data Migration Engineer, a typical day involves managing the entire data migration process by carefully extracting data from source systems, transforming it to meet the target system's requirements, and loading it accurately. The role includes building and executing migration scripts, monitoring the migration workflows, and validating the results to ensure data integrity and consistency. Collaboration with various teams to coordinate migration activities and troubleshoot any issues that arise is a key part of the daily routine, ensuring smooth and efficient data transitions within the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the planning and execution of data migration projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall performance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (Store Procedure, Complex joins, CTE, Aggregations, Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization)
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Administration, Microsoft Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes for large-scale data migration.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work with cloud-based data platforms and integrate on-premises databases with cloud services.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
