Summary
The Principal Software Engineer (PSE) will act as a senior technical leader with deep Oracle ERP functional expertise, bridging business processes with ERP configurations and modern engineering practices. This role demands mastery of Oracle Financials and Procurement domains, hands-on integration skills, and the ability to mentor teams while driving scalable, customer-focused solutions. This position will spearhead innovation, guide and mentor development teams, and drive product ownership, solution design and software delivery
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Lead product feature design and demonstrations for engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with functional requirements.
2. Translate business and functional requirements into detailed design specifications, providing constructive feedback during design and review cycles.
3. Plan, prioritize, and execute complex, high-impact initiatives independently and collaboratively within Agile teams.
4. Collaborate with PM/TPM/EM to drive program-level feature prioritization across releases, ensuring business value delivery.
5. Facilitate PI planning, backlog refinement, and program tracking using enterprise management tools.
6. Adapt to dynamic roles such as Product Owner or Scrum Master when required, demonstrating versatility and leadership.
7. Architect and deliver highly available, reliable, and scalable solutions, leveraging modern ERP and integration practices.
8. Mentor and influence senior engineers and organizational peers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
9. Lead and participate in incident management and on-call rotations, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
10. Guide domain-driven design and code review sessions, applying modern modeling tools to create customer-focused architectures.
11. Champion best practices in ERP functional configurations, bridging business processes with technical solutions.
12. Drive organizational alignment by partnering with program leadership on prioritization, planning, and execution.

Professional & Technical Skills:
Core Skill Set (Must-Have)
1. Oracle ERP Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Oracle Financials Cloud and Oracle Procurement Cloud, with hands-on expertise in end-to-end ERP implementations.
2. Functional Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Order Management (OM), and Procurement processes, including configuration and troubleshooting.
3. Integration Platforms: Strong working knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) enabling seamless ERP integrations.
4. Interfaces & Data Management: Skilled in designing and managing Oracle Interfaces and leveraging File-Based Data Import (FBDI) for Receivables and Payables.
5. Business–Technology Bridge: Proven ability to translate complex ERP business processes into functional configurations, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.
6. Innovation Edge: Exposure to AI-driven ERP enhancements as a differentiator, with the ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies.
7. Agile Leadership: Demonstrated Agile mindset, adaptable to dynamic environments, with the flexibility to take on roles beyond core engineering.
8. Team Leadership: Extensive experience in mentoring, influencing, and leading cross-functional engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
Extended Skill Set (Nice-to-Have)
1. Trading Community Architecture (TCA): Understanding of TCA structures and their role in customer and supplier data management.
2. Fusion Tax: Basic functional knowledge of Fusion Tax configurations and compliance.
3. BI Publisher: Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher for reporting and analytics.
4. AI & Automation:
o Oracle Fusion AI Studio: Design, configuration, validation, and deployment of AI agents.
o Generative AI Fundamentals: Knowledge of prompt engineering, guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and semantic search for ERP-driven automation.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
2. 12+ years of experience in application design, development and delivery
3. Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
