Summary:
As a Senior Android xTS Certification Engineer you will develop and configure software systems, either end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your typical day will involve applying your knowledge of various technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support clients and projects, ensuring that software solutions meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall success of the software development process.

Roles & Responsibilities:
-Contribute to android platforms powering automotive infotainment systems.
-Regularly catch up with latest android platform technologies presented on Google s conferences / bootcamps.
-A desire to learn new things and the ability to understand complex systems.
-Execute and maintain Android xTS test suites (CTS, VTS, ATS, STS, etc.).
-Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve failures.
-Track and document test progress, logs, and issue trends for certification submissions.


Professional & Technical Skills:
-Deep expertise in Android Framework internals, native services, Boot Process, HALs and Migration to New Android Versions.
-Strong C++ (modern), Java/Kotlin, and Android/Linux system design experience.
-Expertise in Binder IPC (AIDL/HIDL), system architecture, memory/perf tuning.
-Experience with AAOS, vehicle HAL, vendor partitions, and Treble.
-Proven leadership in large-scale AOSP/automotive programs.
-In-depth knowledge of AOSP/AAOS with a passion for maintaining compliance, enforcing guidelines, and tracking performance metrics.
-+3 yearsExperience in Android platform domain
-Advanced in Android Framework (AAOS/AOSP) & customization
-Advanced in Custom Android HALs
-Advanced in Android component: Services, Broadcast receivers, content providers
-Fundamentals in Custom Android OS extension (a.k.a. SDK Addons)
-Fundamentals in Hardware Abstraction Layers AIDL/HIDL
-Advanced in C++ 11,14,17
-Fundamentals in Linux
-Optional in Android Version Migrations (executing update 1/year)
-Fundamentals in Version Control Tools (Git, Gerrit)
-Advanced in Writing (unit) test cases for developed modules
-Fundamentals in Experience on Java/Kotlin
-Expert in Communication and team collaboration skills
-Expert in Google compliance testing (CTS, VTS,..)
-Advanced in Proficiency in collaborating with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).


Good to have:
-Application Development experience for Media and Phone App, Navigation, Home Screen Customization, cloud communication.
-Experience on BT, Wi-Fi, GPS, CAN integration at application level.
-Device Configurations.
-Android Version Migrations (executing update 1/year).
-Version Control Tools (Github).
-Multi-Threaded Porgramming.
-Middleware Solution Development & OS Concepts.
-OO design patterns, Core Java,NDK
-Android Components and jetpack library.
-Experience on solid principals, java design patterns and MVVM.
-Experience in Service binding, IPC communication and thread handling.


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 plus years of experience
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or similar
