Summary We are looking for a skilled Oracle CC&B Technical Designer with strong expertise in Metering, Usage, and Rates modules. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, documenting, and supporting complex solutions in CC&B, ensuring alignment with business requirements and system capabilities. This role will act as a bridge between business analysts, developers, and testers to implement robust and scalable utility billing solutions. Roles & Responsibilities: • Design end-to-end technical solutions in CC&B for Metering, Usage, and Rates components. • Translate business requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs. • Lead and support the configuration of complex usage rules, bill determinants, and rate algorithms. • Work closely with functional teams to validate requirements and align system design. • Develop design documents including Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Technical Design Specifications (TDS). • Review and validate development work to ensure alignment with design and standards. • Support integration design with Meter Data Management (MDM), Smart Metering Systems, and external interfaces. • Conduct impact analysis and provide technical guidance for enhancements, patches, and upgrades. • Participate in design review sessions and provide technical mentorship to junior team members. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to metering, usage, and rates configuration. Professional & Technical Skills: • Deep understanding of CC&B technical architecture and data model. • Experience designing and configuring complex billing scenarios, usage rules, and rate engines. • Proficiency in Java, SQL, and Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF). • Familiarity with CC&B scripting (e.g., Groovy), algorithms, and service scripts. • Strong experience working with Meter Data Management (MDM) systems and Smart Meter integration. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to produce clear, detailed technical documentation. Additional Information • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle CC&B, with focus on Metering, Usage, and Rate configuration. • Minimum 15 years of full-time education Degree in Engineering will be a plus • This position is based at our Bangalore office.
