Data Standards owner will be respondible for defining, maintaining and governing organizations data standards including Data definitions, naming conventions, metadata rules and quality expectations. Objective is to ensure consistency and accuracy across all systems and teams. Drive adoption of defined standards and ensure data is trustworthy and aligned to enterprise strategy. Analyze, inspect, clean, transform, and model data.
What are we looking for? • Data governance and Management: Understanding of data governance frameworks, knowledge of data quality dimensions, ability to define and maintain data standards, data taxonomies, data dictionaries, Master Data Management and Reference Data Management • Meta Data Management: Has hands on exp of tools like Collibra, IBM info space, Alation, etc and can help with establishing Naming conventions, Data lineage standards, Data usage policy • Data Architecture & Modelling: Good understanding of Data Architecture principles, Data Modelling(ER, Dimension modelling, canonical models), API and integration standards. Work with Data engineers and architects to ensure standards are adopted • Knowledge of Data privacy frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, Industry specific data regulatory requirement, risk management principles • Understanding of ETL process, SQL, Cloud data ecosystem(AWS, GCP, Azure), BI tools like Tableau, Power BI • 10-14 years of experience in required field • Has experience in at least 1 of the following domains – Customer, product, Marketing, CRM • Bachelors / Masters / Computer science, Engineering or related disciplines
Roles and Responsibilities: • Translate business requirements into data definitions • Drive adoption of data standard by conducting workshops, trainings, governance forums • Negotiate and resolve data definition conflicts • Create documentation including – Data Standards doc, KPI definitions, Policy guidelines, SOPs, Change logs, decision records
