Infrastructure & Capital Projects - Assistant Estimator - CSA, ANS
THE WORK:
- You’ll assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing project cost data, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- You’ll support the development of preliminary and detailed cost estimates under the guidance of senior estimating professionals
- You’ll review project drawings, specifications, and related documentation to identify cost drivers and scope considerations
- You’ll maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing benchmarks, and vendor/subcontractor information
- You’ll prepare quantity takeoffs and develop basic cost models to support estimate accuracy
- You’ll contribute to the preparation of estimate reports, presentations, and supporting materials for client and internal stakeholders
- You’ll coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing inputs and clarify project requirements
- You’ll perform administrative and analytical tasks to support the estimating team’s operational efficiency
- Remote: This role allows for remote work for the majority of your work hours.
- With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, structural, architectural, or related field) OR additional four (4) years of related experience.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic estimating or project management software
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as drawings and specifications (or willingness to learn)
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Familiarity with cost estimating tools or quantity takeoff software
- Prior internship or entry‑level experience in estimating, project coordination, or related roles
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced consulting environment
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
