Data Ops Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of data platforms and pipelines. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This is a great opportunity to build your technical foundation while contributing to real-world data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, enhancement, and maintenance of data pipelines and systems to meet evolving business requirements
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining applications and infrastructure in line with service level expectations
- Contribute to defining and documenting technical requirements, with a focus on integration, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with cloud and operations teams to monitor system performance and support capacity planning
- Help troubleshoot technical issues and support resolution of data or system-related challenges
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and data quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Some hands-on experience or exposure to data engineering, data operations, or related technical areas (through internships, projects, or work experience)
- Understanding of data replication and synchronization concepts
- Basic knowledge of application support or system troubleshooting
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Exposure to ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory)
- Familiarity with data integration concepts
- Basic understanding of system performance monitoring
- Experience supporting or maintaining data applications or infrastructure
