Role Summary 

We are seeking a Magento / Adobe Commerce Platform Specialist to join our Technology practice, supporting complex Digital Commerce platforms in the Telecommunications domain, with a strong emphasis on Mobile contract and device sales and supporting Fixed Line Consumer offerings where required. 

This role is suited to a technically strong Application Architect who understands commerce not just as an e‑commerce channel, but in the context of telco-specific product, pricing, and fulfilment complexity—including devices, plans, bundles, contracts, eligibility, and downstream system orchestration. 

The successful candidate will design and govern Magento / Adobe Commerce solutions across headed and headless architectures, while ensuring resilience, performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Experience with Agentic AI—both for SDLC acceleration and as part of customer journeys—is increasingly important in this role. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Platform Architecture & Solution Design 

  • Act as an Application / Platform Architect for Adobe Commerce (Magento), owning end-to-end technical solution design across:  

  • Stores, storefronts, and multi-website / multi-store structures 

  • Product catalogues, pricing, promotions, eligibility, and contract-driven journeys 

  • Design and govern commerce solutions for Mobile device and contract sales, including:  

  • Device + plan combinations 

  • Bundling and offers 

  • Consumer-focused digital journeys 

  • Architect solutions across both headed and headless commerce models, including:  

  • API-first and composable architectures 

  • Front-end decoupling where required 

Magento & Adobe Commerce Expertise 

  • Deep hands-on understanding of:  

  • Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce, including SaaS and Cloud capabilities 

  • Core Magento architecture, data models, and extensibility patterns 

  • Evaluate, select, and integrate:  

  • Magento plugins and 3rd-party modules 

  • External services such as CMS, search, payments, identity, and fulfilment 

  • Govern the balance between:  

  • Custom development vs off-the-shelf extensions 

  • Long-term supportability, upgradeability, and technical debt management 

Headless, Integration & Telco Context 

  • Architect headless commerce solutions, integrating Magento with:  

  • Modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React / Next.js or equivalent) 

  • Telco backend systems such as BSS/CRM, Order Management, Payments, Identity, and Provisioning 

  • Understand commerce solutioning in the context of:  

  • High-volume Consumer transactions 

  • Complex orchestration across downstream systems 

  • Ensure integration patterns align with enterprise architecture and security standards 

Agentic AI Enablement 

  • Contribute to adoption of Agentic AI, including:  

  • Using agentic approaches to accelerate the SDLC (design, development, testing, troubleshooting) 

  • Architecting solutions that leverage agentic capabilities within customer journeys, such as:  

  • Assisted buying and guided selling 

  • Intelligent decisioning and orchestration 

  • Operational and care interactions 

  • Ensure agentic-enabled designs are secure, resilient, observable, and enterprise-ready 

NonFunctional Solutioning 

  • Own critical non-functional concerns, including:  

  • Performance engineering and scalability 

  • High availability, fault tolerance, and resilience 

  • Maintainability, monitoring, and operational readiness 

  • Support production readiness, go‑lives, and early‑life support where required 

Client & Delivery Collaboration 

  • Operate confidently in a client-facing consulting environment, contributing to:  

  • Solution definition and technical assurance 

  • Architecture and design reviews 

  • Collaborate closely with:  

  • Product owners, UX, integration teams, and delivery leadership 

  • Onshore and offshore engineering teams 

 

Industry Experience 

  • Telecommunications experience is highly beneficial, specifically:  

  • Commerce solutions for Mobile device and contract sales 

  • Consumer-focused digital channels 

  • Exposure to Fixed Line Consumer commerce is advantageous 

Skills & Experience 

Required 

  • Strong, hands-on experience with Magento / Adobe Commerce in enterprise-scale environments 

  • Proven experience operating as a Technical Lead or Application Architect 

  • Solid understanding of:  

  • Headed and headless commerce architectures 

  • API- and integration-led solution design 

  • Experience designing for:  

  • Performance, resilience, and long-term maintainability 

  • Practical exposure to Agentic AI concepts, particularly for:  

  • SDLC acceleration 

  • Intelligent, agent-enabled customer journeys 

Preferred 

  • Adobe Commerce SaaS / Cloud experience 

  • Telco digital commerce background (Consumer-focused) 

  • Consulting or large System Integrator experience 

  • Cloud-native deployment and DevOps exposure
