Role Overview:
The Solution Architect - SAP Finance Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP solutions with a focus on financial processes and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP Finance modules (e.g., SAP FI/CO, S/4HANA Finance) and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives. The Solution Architect will collaborate with stakeholders across finance, IT, and business units to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that drive financial performance and compliance.

Role Impact:
The Solution Architect - SAP Finance Lead plays a critical role in driving financial efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the organization. By leveraging SAP technologies, this role ensures that financial systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Develop and design SAP solutions for financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, and financial reporting.

  • Ensure solutions align with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Lead the integration of SAP Finance modules with other SAP systems and third-party applications.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with finance leaders, business analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Provide expert guidance on SAP Finance capabilities and recommend enhancements to meet business needs.

Implementation and Deployment:

  • Lead the implementation of SAP Finance solutions, including configuration, testing, and deployment.

  • Ensure seamless migration to S/4HANA Finance and other SAP platforms.

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Optimization and Support:

  • Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes and systems using SAP tools and technologies.

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP Finance solutions.

  • Stay updated on SAP innovations and recommend upgrades or new functionalities.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure SAP Finance solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

  • Mitigate risks by implementing robust security and data governance measures.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in SAP Finance modules (FI/CO, S/4HANA Finance, AP, AR, GL, banking, fixed assets, project system etc.)

  • Strong Solution Architect overview when it comes to integration with other modules, especially: SD/MM/EWM/TM.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Experience with SAP integration tools and technologies (e.g., SAP PI/PO, APIs).

Bonus Technical Expertise:

  • Product costing

  • Material ledger/transfer pricing

  • Consolidation/intercompany elimination module

  • Revenue Accounting (RAR)

  • Settlement management

  • Debugging skills, and BRF+ skills are a must

Leadership and Communication:

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex solutions to non-technical audiences.

Problem-Solving and Innovation:

  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve system issues.

  • Innovative mindset to propose and implement cutting-edge SAP solutions.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in SAP Finance solutions architecture and implementation.

  • Proven track record of leading SAP Finance projects in large organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certification in Finance modules or S/4HANA Finance.

  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or financial services.

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and cloud solutions in SAP.
