The Financial Services Technical Architect Senior Manager specializing in Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and emerging automation technologies is a critical role at Accenture, where the Robotics Process Automation and Intelligent Automation business in Financial Services in the region is of extremely high strategic priority.  The role will support the delivery of Accenture's RPA and Intelligent Automation offerings, including RPA Strategy, Architecture, Programme setup and governance, IT Operating Models, Security and Ecosystem engagement aspects and will focus on bridging the gap between the business and technology functions, articulating the business value of RPA technology.

 

This technology professional will advise upon, lead and work on high impact activities within the systems development lifecycle, and provide advisory work for the IT function itself, defining architecture and infrastructure requirements, providing technical direction on design considerations for security, performance, scalability, availability, maintainability, disaster recovery and uptime in relation to RPA and other emerging technology implementations.

 

The architect provides a deep understanding of broader infrastructure, engineering and requirements and defines the potential for automation, possesses knowledge of the automation product, understands the client IT landscape, confirms the feasibility of the automation for the processes in scope, and defines the technical architecture needed to develop, test and deploy the automation components.

 

In addition, he/she will contribute to the development of strategy for the FS RPA and Intelligent Automation business in the region and will contribute to its successful execution. The individual will be a capable of building and leading high performing and highly engaged teams and managing the successful execution of service delivery efforts, building credentials in line with our brand and market positioning

 

Key Responsibilities:


Innovative Solutions

  • Hold and maintain a deep understanding of the RPA market, industry context and the FSI’s strategy where RPA can deliver desired business outcomes; work with client stakeholders across technology and business domains, as well as across various Accenture practices and third party providers to build new propositions, services and/or innovative solutions that will deliver value to the FSI.
  • Understand the breadth of Accenture’s RPA and AI offerings to bring the best of Accenture to the FSI through introducing and selling cross business transformational RPA solutions across the entire functional and industry space and develop and implement plans for introducing new functional or industry RPA, RPA cognitive and AI solutions that help expand Accenture's footprint in the region.

 

 

Sales & Delivery

  • Develop trust based relationships with the client and drive efforts to build credibility, reinforcing Accenture’s recognition as an RPA implementation market leader.
  • Support pre-sale activities and provide technical solutions, effort estimation, define delivery strategy and plan.
  • Assess automation opportunity from technical perspective and perform due diligence to arrive at an optimal solution including evaluation of RPA vendor solutions.
  • Architect complex, multi dimension transformational programmes of work, bringing together the spectrum of automation disciplines – existing and new and manage the definition of the technical framework considering all relevant artifacts.
  • Anticipate, identify, track and resolve technical issues and risks affecting delivery.
  • Ensure delivery expectations are met and resolve open issues related to RPA engagement delivery, assisting development and support teams in resolving technical problems.
  • Work within a collaborative lab environment or "sandbox" to test and validate technology prototypes.

  • Help shape and drive the development of thought leadership on the topic of RPA, cognitive and AI to proactively help address emerging needs and challenges.
  • Develop and present at industry conferences as an expert in the fields of Robotics and AI

 


Key Qualifications:


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s  degree or higher
  • Management/Technology Consulting experience preferred
  • Proven track record of architecting / delivering large scale, complex RPA projects, understanding of use cases, solutions, vendors, architectures and the market
  • Experience across the Financial Services Sector
  • 7-12 years of technical expertise in IT infrastructure, IT network, operating system and Middleware configurations, with knowledge of alternative architectures and emerging trends, solutions and products in an IT security domain, IT Risk Management, or encryption technologies and products, or Security Monitoring solutions and SOC Lifecycle

 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in managing large, complex multi-faceted IT change programs in an IT organisation preferably in the financial industry, with demonstrated “can-do” attitude
  • Deep understanding of overall delivery lifecycle and supporting methodologies and processes
  • Proven success in the creation and leadership of high performing teams
  • Industry recognized certification

  • The ability and experience to work with C-suite and Heads of executives to shape transformation initiatives aligned to strategic intent and support throughout the delivery life cycle
  • Ability to understand clients’ needs and expectations and articulate alternative architectures and trends
