Senior Contracting Counsel Senior Manager

Contracting Counsel Senior Manager | Senior Level | Full time
Job No. R00348741 | Amsterdam
Apply for this job

If you are looking for a role with substance and variety in a dynamic environment at the heart of complex technology deals, this opportunity is worth exploring.

Your job

You will take centre stage in deal-making—leading, shaping and closing high-impact technology transactions across outsourcing, SaaS, cloud, automation, blockchain security, systems integration and agile development.

Your judgement will influence senior leaders as you turn complex legal risks and market developments into clear, commercially focused advice.

You will strengthen the team by guiding and developing junior legal professionals on complex transactions.

As a trusted advisor to Legal, Business and Sales leadership, you will help shape and execute Accenture’s market-facing strategy.

Key responsibilities

·       Drive Accenture’s largest and most complex client transactions, securing outcomes that advance both our legal and business objectives.

·       Being pragmatic, having a creative legal mindset, thinking in solutions.

·       Inspire, coach and empower (junior) team members to deliver their best work.

·       Stay ahead of market, client and industry developments—and turn fresh insight into smarter, sharper transactional practices.

·       Equip company executives to navigate critical legal and risk management issues with confidence.

·       Build recognised expertise in an area that creates value for Legal and the wider business.

·       Create practical guidelines, toolkits and knowledge resources that strengthen legal and business decision-making.

·       Champion and bring to life key Legal Group initiatives.

Your team

You will join the Amsterdam based Dutch legal contracting team of 8 experienced legal professionals, part of a broader regional legal contracting team together with the Nordics containing of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The team is known for its team spirit and for being genuinely collaborative – the kind of place where people help each other and being available to check your thinking. Different cultures but the same instinct: getting things done together.

Your background

  • Master in Dutch law
  • 10+ years relevant experience in commercial contracting in information technology, consulting, GenAI, digital, software, outsourcing or telecoms – in-house or law firm
  • Fluent Dutch and English
  • Experience in data privacy and intellectual property, as well as in Dutch public procurement

Your skill requirements

Beyond the credentials: you negotiate with conviction, not just caution. You are equally adept in the boardroom and reviewing contracts. You know when to hold firm, when to find another way — and you have the curiosity to understand the technology behind the contracts you shape. You have proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transaction independently. You have experience negotiating and drafting technology-based agreements. And you have excellent oral and written communication skills.
