Job Description
The Digital Marketing Advisory (Paid Social Media) Analyst - Japanese Speaker is responsible for managing performance across paid social media platforms. This role focuses on campaign performance analysis, audience targeting, ad optimization, and paid growth strategies to strengthen brand engagement and drive measurable results. You will partner closely with channel managers, content teams, and brand stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous optimization of paid social efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Light Adobe Premiere Pro Skills
- Responsible for creation of small, simple, rules-based short-form video edits (e.g., trailers or previews of shows) for use in paid social media campaigns.
Paid Social Performance & Insights
- Monitor and analyze paid performance across social platforms (e.g., Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Track and report on key metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, cost-per-click (CPC), cost-per-acquisition (CPA), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Deliver regular performance reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Support paid strategy optimization through data-backed storytelling and insights.
Audience Targeting & Campaign Optimization
- Conduct audience research to identify key demographics, interests, and behaviors for effective targeting.
- Optimize ad placements, formats, and bidding strategies to maximize campaign performance.
- Test and refine creative assets, ad copy, and calls-to-action (CTAs) to improve engagement and conversion rates.
Content & Channel Support
- Partner with Social Media Channel Managers and Content Teams to align paid content with organic efforts and brand messaging.
- Support content calendaring with data-driven recommendations on formats, timing, and platform best practices.
- Ensure paid content follows brand guidelines, platform requirements, and compliance standards.
Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Create clear and concise reports for internal stakeholders, summarizing paid social health and performance.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to align paid insights with broader brand and campaign objectives.
- Support testing and learning initiatives (e.g., A/B testing, audience segmentation, bidding strategies) to improve paid impact.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 1 year experience in paid social media management, social media analytics, or digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and paid performance metrics.
- Experience with paid social tools such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, or similar.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Proficiency in Japanese language (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or very light video editing.
- Experience working in a global or multi-market environment.
- Familiarity with compliance, brand safety, and reputational monitoring.
- Basic understanding of how paid and organic social media complement each other.
- Bilingual proficiency, English level B2.
