Job Summary:

Manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned countries within a client-facing BPO environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to resolve issues, support audits, and drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires agility, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-country payroll scenarios with speed and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute monthly payroll cycles with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

  • Reconcile payroll data across finance and HR systems to ensure consistency and audit readiness

  • Handle complex payroll queries and escalate issues appropriately to internal or client stakeholders

  • Prepare statutory filings and support internal/external audits and compliance reviews

  • Collaborate with country HR teams and third-party vendors to ensure alignment on payroll inputs and timelines

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery

  • Maintain documentation and controls in accordance with client policies and regional regulations

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 - 5 year of experience, preferably with exposure to multi-country operations across SEA and ANZ.
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements
  • Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP); hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, ADP, Oracle, or similar
  • Excellent communication skills in both Malay and English, with proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Demonstrated agility in managing shifting priorities, service volumes, and country-specific compliance requirements
