About the job
The Supply Chain Consultant shall be responsible for supporting and tracking the client’s ecommerce supply chain & fulfilment activities to ensure timely, smooth and adequate availability of stock for the online channel. They will be expected to work with (among others) the client’s online channel sales, marketing and supply chain teams as well as relevant team members from Accenture’s project team/SMEs to manage the ongoing ecommerce supply chain operations, including demand forecasting, tracking stock availability on shelf and at relevant points in the value chain, as well as other relevant activities to ensure OTIF fulfilment of online orders/ stock management.
Regular client interactions across demand planning, stock orders and reviews.
Support relevant stakeholders from client ecommerce/ brand marketing/ supply chain teams as well as Accenture project team/SMEs to ensure smooth day to day stock & order management/fulfilment and inventory management
Work with clients directly and relevant stakeholders to build monthly stock forecasts and track online inventory to ensure maximum on-shelf availability
Track order fulfilment and warehouse/distributor etc. operations to ensure OTIF order fulfilment
Liaise with external vendors/partners (viz. platforms, delivery partners etc.) on an ongoing basis to ensure smooth operations for ecommerce fulfilment and stock/inventory management across the value chain
Bachelors degree in technology/engineering, quantitative streams or business management, with a focus on supply chain & operations
Minimum 2+ yrs of experience, with exposure to managing/supporting supply chain & fulfilment operations in context of a digital organization, or digital part of a consumer business
Candidate needs to have strong proficiency with number crunching and high level of comfort with managing/handling large datasets
Needs to be proficient with MS Excel or similar data processing tools
Working knowledge of ecommerce platforms (marketplaces/pure-plays) and their operations
Ability to handle client discussions and relationships with some degree of independence and manage client expectations on a day-to-day basis. While the role would support/work with relevant project team and/or workstream leads in Accenture, some level of independent client task management and interaction is expected
Highly organized, detail oriented, and results focused
Past experience in either digital commerce/FMCG supply chain, operations and fulfilment teams would be a plus
Keen awareness and understanding of the latest relevant digital commerce and marketing trends and happenings
Hunger to learn on the go and upskill based on team and client requirements
