About the Role

Join Accenture as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator and play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale database environments that power business-critical applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in Oracle database technologies, application integration, and production support, with opportunities to lead complex initiatives and drive continuous improvement across platform performance, reliability, and security.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, provide technical leadership, and ensure the stability and scalability of database and application ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain Oracle database solutions supporting enterprise applications and business operations.

  • Lead database architecture, performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization initiatives to ensure high availability and operational efficiency.

  • Translate business and system requirements into robust technical designs and implementation strategies.

  • Develop and review implementation and integration approaches across applications, databases, and supporting technologies.

  • Provide technical leadership during application deployments, database upgrades, and production releases.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database, application, and integration issues while minimizing business disruption.

  • Establish and enforce database administration standards, security controls, backup and recovery procedures, and operational best practices.

  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to support strategic technology initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, database engineering, or related enterprise technology environments.

  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle Database Administration, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, database security, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience supporting large-scale production environments and mission-critical applications.

  • Strong understanding of database architecture, data management principles, and system integration concepts.

  • Proven experience in production release management, deployment support, and incident resolution.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

  • Experience working within complex enterprise application ecosystems and hybrid infrastructure environments.

  • Knowledge of database automation, scripting, and operational monitoring tools.

  • Experience supporting cloud-based database platforms and modernization initiatives.

  • Ability to mentor junior database administrators and provide technical guidance across teams.

  • Experience contributing to technical documentation, governance standards, and operational excellence programs.
