Job Title: Junior Murex MxML Developer
Experience Level: Junior (L2 – 3–5 years)
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Murex MxML Developer to join our MEA Tech team, supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Murex MxML interfaces. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Murex MxML development, with a good understanding of system integration, interface development, and SQL Server databases. You will work closely with system analysts, business users, and technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable integration solutions within the Murex ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain Murex MxML interfaces to support business and system integration requirements.
Design and implement MxML message flows for integration between Murex and external applications.
Work with system analysts and business stakeholders to understand functional and technical requirements.
Develop, test, and troubleshoot interface solutions to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
Perform unit testing, support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
Investigate and resolve interface-related issues and production incidents.
Develop and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction, validation, and reporting.
Prepare technical documentation for interface design, development, and support activities.
Participate in release management and change implementation activities.
Adhere to development standards, security policies, and best practices.
Required Skills
3–5 years of experience in application or interface development within the banking or financial services industry.
Hands-on experience with Murex MxML development (mandatory).
Experience developing and supporting Murex integration interfaces.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and SQL scripting.
Experience working in Windows Server 2012 environments.
Understanding of XML-based messaging and enterprise application integration concepts.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
