Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Android Developer to support the development and enhancement of digital retail banking applications. The role involves building reliable and secure Android applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java
- Assist in implementing new features and improving existing mobile banking apps
- Work closely with senior developers, QA, and backend teams
- Perform unit testing and support application debugging
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives
- Follow secure coding and mobile development best practices
Required Skills:
1-3 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin and Java
- Understanding of Android SDK, UI components, and app lifecycle
- Basic knowledge of Oracle databases
- Familiarity with Unix-based operating systems (HPUX, Linux, Solaris)
- Willingness to learn and work in a Digital Banking environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with build and dependency tools such as Gradle and Maven
- Exposure to Firebase and Fastlane
- Knowledge of CI/CD for mobile build and deployment
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and Agile practices
- Prior exposure to Digital Banking platforms
