Job Title: Senior Murex Developer (Datamart Reporting)

Job Summary:
The Senior Murex Developer (Datamart Reporting) is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Murex Datamart components, including reporting cubes, dynamic tables, extraction logic, and downstream integration for risk, P&L, accounting, and regulatory reporting. The role requires deep expertise in Datamart configuration, SQL performance tuning, and end-to-end reporting workflows. The developer will work closely with business teams, report owners, and technical teams to deliver high-quality reporting solutions and support production operations at an L3 level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance Murex Datamart reporting components, including reporting cubes, batches, dynamic tables, and extraction logic.
  • Build and maintain reporting workflows for FO, BO, Risk, P&L, and Accounting streams.
  • Optimize Datamart performance (SQL tuning, extraction optimization, cube/job scheduling).
  • Develop custom transformations and ETL-style extractions for downstream systems.
  • Perform L3 troubleshooting for Datamart jobs, cube failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with report owners and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and develop efficient Datamart solutions.
  • Support regression testing, UAT, and SIT for enhancements, upgrades, and environment migrations.
  • Ensure proper job orchestration, monitoring, logging, and alert mechanisms for Datamart batches.
  • Maintain high-quality technical documentation including mapping documents, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.
  • Mentor junior developers and analysts on Datamart design best practices.

Required Skills:

  • 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Murex Datamart development.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • o Datamart cubes, batches, extractors, dynamic tables
  • o Murex reporting frameworks (P&L, Risk, Accounting, Trade, Positions)
  • Strong expertise in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server 2012) including complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Java or Python for custom scripts, pre-/post-processing, or automation.
  • Ability to work in Linux and Windows Server 2012 environments.
  • Strong understanding of Treasury products and valuation data structures in Murex.
  • Experience troubleshooting large-volume reporting pipelines and batch processes.
  • Ability to design and deliver scalable, maintainable reporting solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with regulatory/reporting frameworks (e.g., MIFID, IFRS, LCR/NSFR).
  • Exposure to FO/BO workflows to support trade and P&L reporting.
  • Familiarity with Datamart publishing to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of MxML, EOD batch orchestration, and other Murex development components.
  • Experience working with shell scripting, API integrations, or automated deployment pipelines.
