The role is based in Kuala Lumpur as part of an IT extension team, supporting Follow-the-Sun operations across multiple business areas (fund services & administration, pricing and master data, custody, market services). The team will work closely with business support areas as well as IT lines located in Europe.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish test strategy documents for allocated projects.
  • Manage test activities in alignment with Quality Engineering practices.
  • Ensure test objectives are met through proper requirements coverage, prioritization, and accurate recording of test execution.
  • Coordinate and oversee the deliveries of QA analysts and automation teams.
  • Review, challenge, and report on QA artifacts (e.g., estimations, test strategy, schedules, execution results, defect tracking, UAT coordination).
  • Ensure test phases are prepared and executed according to methodology and frameworks.
  • Prepare test execution reports and collect sign-offs from required approvers.
  • Define test environment and support requirements; ensure these are met.
  • Facilitate escalation, prioritization, and resolution of issues during testing.
  • Set up, support, and administer projects in test repository tools (e.g., Squash).
  • Create, execute, and maximize automation of complex test cases across the lifecycle, including continuous testing.
  • Build strong communication and rapport with stakeholders, team members, and business partners from initiation to closure.
  • Resolve conflicts/issues and escalate when appropriate.

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology.
  • Other demonstrated learning paths (e.g., bootcamps) can also be accepted.

Certification: ISTQB (mandatory), ITIL (optional, a plus).

Required Technical Skills

  • minimum 3 years relevant years of experience.
  • Testing methodology and strategy definition.
  • Project management methodology.
  • Software development lifecycle methodology.
  • Information Security & Risk Management fundamentals.
  • Practical experience with SDLC frameworks.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, Jira, Test repository and management tools (e.g., Squash TM, ALM, or equivalent).
  •  Knowledge of fund distribution services, fund accounting, banking, or custody services is a plus.
  • Languages English (professional proficiency required).
