Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in Cardlink development and delivery. The role involves working in the banking sector environment, developing and supporting applications using COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, and JCL on Mainframe z/OS. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of card services projects while adhering to SDLC processes and change management guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe-based card applications (Cardlink).
- Work with COBOL/CICS, Easytrieve, JCL, VSAM, and Sequential Datasets for application development and testing.
- Support Service Delivery QA activities, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Perform analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and debugging for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with requirements.
- Ensure compliance with SDLC process, change management, and banking sector standards.
- Provide technical support for issue resolution and defect fixes during QA and production phases.
Requirements
3-5 years of relevant experience as a Mainframe Developer.
Minimum 4 years of development experience in COBOL/CICS.
Hands-on experience with VSAM, Sequential Datasets, and JCL.
Proficiency in Easytrieve programming.
Strong experience in Cardlink development and delivery within the banking sector.
Knowledge of SDLC process and change management tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
