Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Core HCM Functional Lead to join our team. This hybrid role requires both leadership and hands on functional expertise in configuration, implementation and optimization of Workday’s Core HCM modules. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and support Workday Core HCM functionalities to enhance employee lifecycle management, organizational structures, and workforce administration. Additionally, you will also work with technical teams – including data and integration, providing functional inputs and validating testing scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Workday Core HCM module implementation, configuration and optimization, serving both as a lead and hands-on expert.
- Provide expert guidance on Workday Core HCM best practices.
- Gather business requirements, lead client workshops, develop and maintain functional documentation and translate requirements into Workday system configurations.
- Configure Workday Core HCM business processes, including hire, job changes, terminations, position management, and organizational structures
- Configure Workday security roles, reporting, and dashboards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of business processes
- Work closely with data and integration teams, providing functional inputs, validating test scenarios, and troubleshooting issues
- Conduct system testing, including preparing test cases, executing tests and resolving defects
- Provide end-user training and develop documentation
- Stay updated with Workday features and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency
- Serve as the go-to SME and escalation point for Workday Core HCM configurations, security, and system issues
- Provide status updates to the PMO and executive leadership, ensuring transparency in project execution
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with Workday Core HCM, with mix of hands on and leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of Workday Core HCM configurations, workflows, and reporting.
- Experience with Workday security, business processes, and integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, stakeholder and team management skills.
