Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and collaborating with different teams to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service delivery. The position demands continuous vigilance and adaptability to respond to dynamic challenges within the infrastructure, contributing to the overall stability and performance of critical applications.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Monitor alerting systems
Continuously watch infrastructure and application monitoring tools.
Identify alerts that indicate service degradation or outages.
Generate incident tickets in ServiceNow based on validated alerts.
Monitor ticketing system Service
Review tickets raised in Service
Validate requests or incidents logged by end-users.
Create or update corresponding tickets in another Ticketing tool like ServiceNow for tracking and resolution.
Ticket creation in ServiceNow
Ensure all incidents and requests are properly logged in ServiceNow.
Assign tickets to the correct resolver groups.
Maintain ticket quality with accurate categorization, priority, and impact details.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 0-2 years of experience in Infrastructure Service Management.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
