Desktop Service Engineer
About the Role
As a Systems Engineering Practitioner, you will contribute to the design and development of engineering systems for physical products, ensuring performance, reliability, and integration across components. You will play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into functional solutions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop engineering systems, including architecture, functionality, and integrations
Define system features and ensure alignment with overall product requirements
Conduct simulations and testing methodologies to validate engineering designs
Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to identify and mitigate risks
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support successful system integration
Manage feature implementation plans and track engineering deliverables
Provide technical insights and solutions to resolve complex engineering challenges
Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to team discussions
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in systems engineering, design, and development
Strong understanding of engineering architecture and system integration
Intermediate proficiency in Technical Writing for documentation and reporting
Experience with engineering simulation and validation methodologies
Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience with Controller Area Network (CAN) technologies
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
Exposure to product development lifecycle and engineering best practices
Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
