The Microsoft VDI Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure using Microsoft technologies. This role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the VDI environment.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft VDI solutions based on best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define VDI specifications.
Implement and configure VDI components, including virtualization hosts, connection brokers, and user profiles.
Monitor VDI performance and resource utilization, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues, both independently and in collaboration with IT support teams.
Implement security measures to protect the VDI environment from unauthorized access and data breaches.
Maintain documentation of the VDI architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and Microsoft updates related to VDI and virtualization technologies.
Provide technical guidance and training to IT staff and end-users on VDI usage and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft VDI solutions, including using technologies like Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Azure Virtual Desktop.
In-depth understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies.
Proficiency in configuring and optimizing Windows operating systems within a VDI environment.
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols relevant to VDI, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell for VDI administration tasks.
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve VDI performance and connectivity issues.
Knowledge of security practices and tools for securing VDI environments and sensitive data.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Virtual Desktop Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar certifications, are a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Adaptability to a dynamic and evolving technology landscape.

Salary € 2625 - 4300 EUR gross. Salary directly related to experience, knowledge level and individual's performance.
