Senior Manager | Accenture Technology

Noida, India

"The organization and leadership push you to think beyond completing the task at hand and the emphasis on constant learning and innovation is something unique to Accenture."

How I put change in motion

I discovered my calling for cloud computing in 2009, by chance and have since specialized in it. Today, I am a Salesforce expert and as Lead Architect of the Intelligent Platform Services at Accenture, I work on some of the most interesting projects involving the Sustainability Cloud. We not only help clients in adopting Salesforce technology but also help the technology teams build enhancements on the base product and third-party connectors and communities for suppliers. Additionally, I also work on client projects as a Program Architect in growth markets. The sheer opportunity to build technology that will handle one of the biggest challenges we confront today, keeps me excited and involved in my work.

I first joined Accenture in 2015 as an Associate Manager and got promoted in 2016 as a Manager. During this period, I received some rigorous training and certifications on the Salesforce platform, which really helped strengthen my skills and conviction about the potential of cloud technology. When I got an opportunity to work at a product company, I couldn’t resist and moved. However, destiny intervened, and I had to relocate to London, where I worked as a Senior Technical Architect in a leading IT company. The experience there helped me get a deeper understanding of enterprise architecture and digital transformation.

A day in my life

When personal commitments saw me return to India, I was certain that I wanted to rejoin Accenture because of the people I had worked with. I reached out to my seniors at Accenture and they enthusiastically accepted me again into their fold. In May 2021, I started my second innings at Accenture and slipped right back into the system. My seniors and team members welcomed me with open arms. What I like most about Accenture is the leadership style of my seniors. It has always been a very approachable leadership that encourages you to think beyond the immediate mandate. This is what drives innovation and growth for the client and eventually for the organization and its people. The trust that your seniors place in you and the manner in which they encourage you to grow is inspiring.

My advice

Accenture as an organization has taught me a lot. I am a naturally demanding person at work, but my mentors taught me empathy. Today when I treat my teammates with empathy, I find it works wonders. In fact, it has helped me be a better parent too!

When not working on the cloud, you will find me down to earth tending to the many plants that adorn my home balconies or spending time with my family. I also enjoy a game of cricket every once in a while.
