Project Role Description : Provide L1–L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary:
As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, a typical day involves delivering first and second level technical assistance for infrastructure, systems, and applications across both production and development settings. This role requires working closely with users and clients, either remotely or onsite, to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. The practitioner follows established operational procedures and models to maintain service stability and ensure high-quality support. Daily activities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting problems, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring seamless operation of infrastructure components to support business continuity. We are looking for a Senior AWS & Oracle Cloud Operations Engineer to provide L3 support for AWS infrastructure and Oracle-dependent workloads. The role requires broad cloud operations experience, infrastructure automation, major-incident leadership and enough Oracle expertise to diagnose database and application dependencies across the supported service.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot production AWS infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring and database-related services.
- Support Oracle databases and Oracle-dependent workloads hosted on AWS, including the relevant infrastructure and connectivity dependencies.
- Work with Oracle deployments on Amazon RDS for Oracle, Amazon RDS Custom for Oracle or Amazon EC2 where these services are within scope.
- Monitor availability, performance, capacity, security and cost consumption.
- Troubleshoot incidents across AWS infrastructure, Linux or Unix, network connectivity, storage and Oracle dependencies.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation or approved equivalent tooling.
- Develop operational automation using Python, Ansible and Shell scripting.
- Support patching, backup, restore, recovery and disaster-recovery activities.
- Review designs for operability, monitoring, resilience, security and support readiness.
- Lead major-incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Maintain runbooks, configuration documentation and recovery procedures.
- Support cloud cost optimization and FinOps actions within the operational scope.
- Act as a technical escalation point and coordinate with application, database, security and network teams.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience operating AWS production environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, IAM and monitoring services.
- Practical experience supporting Oracle databases or Oracle workloads on AWS.
- Ability to distinguish operational implications of Oracle on Amazon RDS, RDS Custom and EC2.
- Infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation experience.
- Hands-on Python, Ansible and Shell scripting.
- Strong Linux or Unix administration and troubleshooting.
- Major-incident, backup, restore, patching and disaster-recovery experience.
- Good written and spoken English for client and global-team interaction.
- GCP or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience.
- Terraform, CloudFormation and GitLab CI/CD.
- Docker or Kubernetes.
- FinOps and AWS cost optimization.
- AWS SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
- Oracle certification or DBA experience.
- ITIL service-management experience.
Additional Information:
- Ask the candidate to walk through a major AWS production incident and the evidence used for diagnosis.
- Test AWS networking, IAM, monitoring, storage and compute troubleshooting.
- Ask which Oracle deployment models on AWS the candidate has supported - RDS for Oracle, RDS Custom or EC2.
- Verify backup, restore, patching and DR responsibilities performed directly by the candidate.
- Request a practical Terraform, Ansible or Python automation example.
- Confirm the candidate can lead an escalation call in English.
The successful candidate will be a senior AWS operations engineer with credible Oracle workload experience. The candidate must be able to lead L3 diagnosis across cloud, operating-system, network, storage and database boundaries without being positioned as a pure Oracle DBA unless the actual experience supports it.
