As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This role requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The position demands active leadership in aligning software solutions with organizational goals, fostering collaboration among team members, and maintaining a focus on delivering scalable and efficient systems that support business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the SAP Integration team and act as the primary technical lead for Integration Suite delivery.
Design and govern enterprise integration solutions using CPI, APIM, and B2B capabilities.
Drive API-led integration architecture and SAP modernization initiatives.
Lead EDI partner onboarding, TPM configuration, Integration Advisor mappings, and B2B support activities.
Conduct design reviews, code reviews, effort estimation, and release planning.
Collaborate with architects, business teams, and client stakeholders.
Mentor team members and ensure adherence to integration best practices and governance standards.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration).
Expertise in SAP API Management (APIM), including API Proxy development, OAuth, security policies, and API lifecycle management.
Experience with SAP B2B Integration, Trading Partner Management (TPM), and Integration Advisor.
Good knowledge of ANSI X12/EDIFACT EDI standards, including ISA, GS, ST, GE, and IEA envelope processing.
Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and non-SAP applications using REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, XML, and JSON.
Experience with SAP PO/PI migration to Integration Suite.
Strong troubleshooting, design, and deployment experience.
Additional Information:
Utility industry experience.
Experience with Event Mesh, Cloud Connector, and SAP Cloud ALM.
Experience: 8-10 Years (Minimum 4+ years in SAP BTP Integration Suite)
A 15 years full time education is required.
