Summary:
As an SAP SD Contract Management Consultant, you will execute configuration, build and test work to an approved design, accountable for the quality of your own deliverables for Customer Contract Management (CCM) within the Commercial / Order to Cash tower of the DRS SAP programme. The role exists to configure and support customer contract management, ensuring that commercially agreed terms are enforced in every release order, price and invoice that follows.
Delivery quality is personal at this level. Performance is assessed on configuration that holds under integration test, on defect recurrence, and on documentation complete enough for another engineer to assume ownership. AI-assisted engineering is expected as standard practice, with every generated output validated before transport.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Scope & Decision Rights: Execute within an approved design. You determine how a configuration item is built, tested and documented design changes, scope calls and estimates are escalated to the workstream lead.
Contract Configuration: Configure value contracts, quantity contracts, master contracts and scheduling agreements, including validity rules, contract determination, release order processing and completion rules.
Entitlement & Consumption: Set up and support entitlement and consumption tracking against contracts, including open quantity and value monitoring, over-release handling and expiry behaviour.
Contract Pricing Terms: Configure contract-level pricing agreements and ensure agreed terms flow correctly into release orders and billing without manual override.
Contract Lifecycle Operations: Support renewal, extension, amendment and termination handling, and keep document flow from contract through order to invoice traceable.
Integration & Dependencies: Work across Pricing for condition inheritance, Order Management for release order behaviour and Billing for downstream invoice correctness. Customer master data is owned by the Finance tower raise data issues through that route.
Delivery Execution & Quality: Deliver assigned configuration, build and test items against sprint commitments, with configuration rationale, unit test evidence and cutover steps documented to handover standard.
Defect Diagnosis & Resolution: Investigate defects and incidents affecting contract release orders pricing incorrectly or consuming the wrong entitlement at scale, isolating root cause across configuration, master data and interface layers and confirming resolution through regression.
AI-Assisted Engineering & Joule: Apply AI assistants to compare contract configuration against expected release behaviour, generate contract scenario test cases, and summarise document flow for analysis, validating every generated output against system behaviour before transport. Use SAP Joule for Consultants for configuration guidance and troubleshooting, and flag manual steps in the module that are candidates for a Joule agent.
Knowledge Transfer: Document reusable configuration patterns, support analysts joining the workstream, and escalate blockers promptly.
Collaboration: Work with functional leads, test teams and downstream modules, reporting item status in terms of delivery impact.

Must-Have Skills
Contract Configuration in SD: Hands-on configuration of value and quantity contracts, master contracts, scheduling agreements and release order processing in SAP S/4HANA or ECC.
Document Flow & Copy Control: Working expertise in copy control and document flow from contract to order to delivery to billing, including completion and incompletion behaviour.
Contract Pricing: Working knowledge of condition technique as applied at contract level, including agreement-specific conditions and validity.
Entitlement Monitoring: Practical experience configuring and supporting open quantity and value tracking, release monitoring and contract expiry controls.
Business Process Understanding: Working knowledge of commercial contracting practice and the exposure created when system behaviour diverges from the signed agreement.
AI-Assisted Delivery: Evidenced use of AI coding and analysis assistants in live SAP delivery, demonstrable through the specific outputs produced and the validation applied.
SAP Joule for Consultants: Working use of SAP Joule for Consultants in configuration and troubleshooting, including verification of the guidance returned against actual system behaviour. Where prior Joule exposure is absent, working proficiency is expected within 90 days of joining.
Evidence of AI Adoption: Demonstrable adoption of AI in delivery work. This may be evidenced through use of AI coding or analysis assistants, or through equivalent contribution such as reusable accelerators, scripted automation of recurring delivery tasks, or codified patterns adopted by others.
Delivery Discipline: Record of meeting sprint commitments on an enterprise SAP programme, with defect and rework rates that withstood review.
Ownership & Communication: Capable of working an ambiguous defect to root cause independently and of stating clearly when a committed date is at risk.

SAP Subscription Billing or SAP CPQ exposure
Contract data conversion from ECC to S/4HANA
Rebate and condition contract settlement scenarios
Additional Information:
A 15-year full-time education is required, as stated in the approved demand record.
Minimum 7.5 years of experience on the primary skill, as specified in the approved demand record.
Hands-on configuration and build experience across at least one full SAP implementation or major rollout.
Specific, evidenced examples of AI-assisted work in a production SAP delivery context.
Working proficiency in SAP Joule for Consultants, either held on appointment or achieved within 90 days of joining.
