Summary:
Lead major SAP Datasphere workstreams and end-to-end data-platform assessments, define target architecture and recovery options, and assure governed business-data delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead diagnostics across source connectivity, spaces, federation, replication, data flows, transformation flows, SQL or graphical views, analytical models, security, governance, operations and consumption.
- Define target business-data-fabric architecture spanning SAP and non-SAP sources, preserved semantics, governed data products, SAP Analytics Cloud and enterprise data platforms.
- Govern decisions on federation versus replication using latency, volume, source load, data quality, retention, performance and recovery requirements.
- Assess BW or BW/4HANA transition, BW bridge, S/4HANA extraction, lineage, reconciliation, access controls, data-product ownership and technical debt.
- Develop costed recovery options covering re-scope, sequencing, phased remediation, resources, timelines, risks, acceptance criteria and operating model.
- Assure SI designs, estimates, data quality, reconciliation evidence, performance, security, test traceability, deployment and operational readiness.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: SAP Datasphere, data integration, federation and replication, spaces, data flows, transformation flows, SQL and graphical modeling, analytical models, semantic modeling, security and governance.
- Good to have Skills: SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW or BW/4HANA, BW bridge, SAP HANA Cloud, SLT, ODP, CDS extraction, data products and enterprise data-platform integration.
- Experience designing SAP and non-SAP source connectivity, layered data models, data quality, lineage, cataloging, access controls, reconciliation and operational monitoring.
- Ability to choose federation or replication based on latency, volume, source load, transformation, retention, performance and recovery needs.
- Demonstrated experience in distressed programme or workstream diagnostics, stabilization, turnaround planning, remediation governance and recovery execution, with evidence of improving delivery confidence, data or application quality, performance, operational stability or go-live readiness.
AI and Digital Expectations:
- Use SAP Generative AI, Joule, Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools to analyse programme documents, technical artefacts, code or data models, tests, incidents, RAID logs and delivery data identify patterns, dependencies, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
- Apply human validation, confidentiality, security, bias awareness, traceability and compliance with client and organisational policies to all AI-assisted outputs.
Leadership and Stakeholder Competencies:
- Communicate evidence-based findings clearly, facilitate accountable decisions and collaborate effectively across client, SI, business, architecture, engineering, data, security and operations teams.
- Coach team members, own outcomes appropriate to the level, and escalate material risks with clear evidence and recommended actions.
Desirable Experience:
- Relevant SAP certifications in SAP BTP, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Generative AI or related technologies.
- Exposure to programme assurance, quality audits, commercial controls, multi-vendor delivery and S/4HANA transformation.
Additional Information:
- Typically 15-18 years of relevant enterprise application, data-platform or SAP delivery experience.
- A 15 years full-time education is required
