Summary:
Manage SAP UI5/Fiori diagnostic, development and remediation workstreams. Drive evidence-based analysis, coordinate development teams, prepare executable remediation plans and ensure UI5/Fiori deliverables meet agreed engineering and UX standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage SAPUI5/Fiori diagnostics covering solution design, application architecture, code quality, OData integration, defects, performance, testing and release readiness.
Assess backlog, defects, dependencies, technical debt and go-live risks and maintain evidence-based RAG ratings and RAID records.
Build remediation plans with clear owners, priorities, sequencing, acceptance criteria, milestones and measurable outcomes.
Design and develop responsive SAPUI5/Fiori applications using XML views, controllers, fragments, routing, models and reusable components.
Develop and extend SAP Fiori Elements and freestyle SAPUI5 applications following SAP Fiori design principles.
Integrate UI applications with OData services and CDS-backed services.
Review UI5 code for maintainability, modularity, performance, security and development-standard compliance.
Coordinate client, functional, ABAP/BTP, integration, testing, security and SI teams to resolve dependencies.
Facilitate technical workshops, defect triage and remediation sessions and prepare evidence for governance discussions.
Assure development, unit testing, integration testing and release deliverables.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must have
Strong hands-on SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori development expertise.
JavaScript, XML Views, controllers, fragments, models, routing and data binding.
OData integration.
SAP Fiori Elements, annotations and Fiori UX principles.
SAP Business Application Studio.
Debugging, performance optimisation and UI5 application troubleshooting.
Git/version control and modern SDLC practices.
Ability to lead a UI5 technical workstream and conduct code and design reviews.
Good to have
SAP BTP application development.
CDS views and annotations.
SAP S/4HANA extensibility and clean-core principles.
Fiori Launchpad and SAP Build.
Automated testing, CI/CD and SAP Cloud ALM.
Recovery Experience
Hands-on experience supporting or managing SAP delivery recovery, covering root-cause analysis, defect reduction, backlog stabilisation, technical remediation and restoration of predictable application delivery.
AI and Digital Expectations
Use approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or approved enterprise LLMs, to accelerate requirements and design analysis, defect investigation, code understanding, test preparation and documentation.
Apply AI-assisted analysis to identify risks, dependencies, inconsistencies and recurring patterns across defects, technical debt, RAID items, test evidence and delivery data.
Apply human validation and comply with confidentiality, security, bias-awareness, traceability and client and organisational policies for all AI-assisted outputs.
Leadership and Stakeholder Competencies
Manage developers and technical activities within the workstream.
Facilitate client and SI workshops and clearly communicate findings and remediation actions.
Coordinate effectively with functional, ABAP, BTP, integration, security and testing teams.
Escalate schedule, quality and technical risks with supporting evidence.
Desirable Experience
SAP Fiori/UI5 or BTP certification.
S/4HANA implementation or AMS experience.
Agile/Scrum delivery and multi-vendor environments.
Exposure to accessibility and enterprise UX standards.
Additional Information:
