Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves leading the design, development, and configuration of software applications tailored to specific needs. This role requires taking ownership of projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that the solutions meet the desired objectives. The position demands proactive problem-solving and continuous engagement with team members to drive the successful delivery of software products. The engineer acts as the main liaison for application-related matters, overseeing the entire lifecycle from conception to deployment while maintaining clear communication and collaboration across teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing and validation.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth.
- Continuously explore and implement improvements to enhance application functionality and user experience.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Analytics, Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance.
- Must have techno-functional experience in Pharmacovigilance, specializing in LSMV Safety Database implementation, configuration, and production support using Java, SQL, SpringBoot, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on in end-to-end LSMV deployment lifecycle — from gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions to release management, Hypercare support, and production issue debugging.
- Strong SQL and Oracle expertise used for data validation, query analysis, and troubleshooting safety database workflows in regulated life sciences environments.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience with data processing and transformation techniques to prepare data for analysis.
- Ability to work with large datasets and ensure data integrity throughout the analytics process.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and best practices in application design.
- Effective communication skills to present findings and collaborate with diverse teams.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Data Analytics.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
