Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current infrastructure and solutions to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and high-performing. The position requires coordinating with various stakeholders to align migration strategies with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the migration process. The engineer plays a key role in enabling organizations to leverage both private and public cloud technologies to achieve advanced business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and implementation of cloud migration strategies to ensure seamless transition.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to optimize migration efforts.
- Monitor migration progress and proactively identify risks or issues, proposing effective mitigation plans.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Infrastructure As Code (IaC).
- Experience with cloud platforms and automation tools related to Infrastructure As Code.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles and best practices for migration.
- Ability to design scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure As Code methodologies.
- Familiarity with scripting and configuration management to automate deployment processes.
- Understanding of network, storage, and security considerations in cloud environments.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure As Code (IaC).
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- Equivalent education is required.
