Summary:
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, a typical day involves designing and constructing cloud application solutions that seamlessly integrate both cloud-based and traditional infrastructure. The role includes testing and deploying these solutions to ensure they meet performance and security standards. The engineer also develops infrastructure and platform environments, creating proof of architecture to validate the feasibility and robustness of the designs. Collaboration with various teams to align architecture with organizational goals and continuous improvement of deployment processes are key aspects of the daily workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and understanding.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment of cloud strategies with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages.
- Ability to design and implement monitoring and alerting systems.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex system issues and performance tuning.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
- This position is based at our BDC7C - SEZ office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
