As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that enhance various system components and applications. The role requires working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software products. The engineer actively participates in iterative development cycles, continuously refining and optimizing code to meet evolving business requirements. Collaboration and problem-solving are integral throughout the day, ensuring that the solutions align with organizational goals and provide tangible value to stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement best practices within the team to improve software quality and delivery timelines.
- Mentor junior team members to foster professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing project outcomes and incorporating feedback.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Data Warehouse ETL Testing, Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI.
- Strong knowledge of distributed computing and data processing frameworks.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and integration techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and optimize system performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
