Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems. The role requires continuous collaboration with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective software components. The engineer actively participates in iterative development cycles, ensuring that the solutions are scalable and meet performance expectations. Problem-solving and adapting to evolving project needs are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and efficiency within the development process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to be an SME in SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere, providing technical guidance to the team.
Design and implement scalable data and analytics solutions using SAP BDC and SAP Datasphere.
Work with SAP BDC Data Products, including understanding their consumption and integration within enterprise data scenarios.
Lead solution design discussions and contribute to key architectural and technical decisions.
Design and implement data acquisition, transformation, modeling, and consumption scenarios.
Work with multiple teams and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
Troubleshoot complex data integration, modeling, performance, and authorization issues.
Review technical designs and ensure adherence to development and modeling best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, reusable solutions, and optimization.
Mentor junior team members and support capability development within the project.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP BDC/SAP BTP Datasphere.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere.
Good understanding of SAP BDC Data Products and their usage in data and analytics scenarios.
Experience integrating SAP source systems and working with enterprise data integration scenarios.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot data load, modeling, integration, and performance issues.
Strong understanding of end-to-end data architecture and data management principles.
Good to Have Skills
Knowledge of SAP BW/BW4HANA and experience in BW modernization or migration scenarios.
Understanding of SAP data models and SAP source-system data extraction concepts.
Experience working with enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
Exposure to designing reusable data models and consumption layers for analytics.
Additional Information:
Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Analytics, with at least 1 year of relevant hands-on experience in SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) / SAP Datasphere.
Candidate should be capable of independently handling complex technical scenarios and providing technical leadership to the team.
This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
15 years of full-time education is required.
