Summary:
As a SAP Fieldglass Technical Architect, a typical day involves leading full lifecycle implementations of SAP Fieldglass modules, including Contingent Workforce, Statement of Work, and Worker Profile Management. The role includes gathering and analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into solution architecture and system designs. Designing and managing integrations between SAP Fieldglass and SAP and non-SAP systems, while ensuring compliance with vendor management, regulatory, security, and data privacy standards, is a key aspect of daily activities. Supporting Agile and DevOps delivery, driving best practices, resolving system and data quality issues, and guiding transformation initiatives are central to the role. This position requires continuous collaboration with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and business units to deliver scalable external workforce and services procurement solutions, while mentoring junior consultants and supporting client strategy and pre-sales activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead full lifecycle implementations of SAP Fieldglass modules including Contingent Workforce, Statement of Work, and Worker Profile Management.
- Gather and analyze complex business requirements and translate them into solution architecture and system designs.
- Configure, customize, test, release, and support Fieldglass configurations and enhancements.
- Design, manage, and maintain integrations between Fieldglass and SAP and non-SAP systems such as S/4HANA, ECC, Ariba, HR/Payroll, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure compliance with policies, vendor management, regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.
- Drive best practices in system design, operational processes, and governance for external workforce and services procurement.
- Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation for system and data quality issues.
- Work in Agile and DevOps environments by owning initiatives, delivering in sprints, supporting deployments, and maintaining live solutions.
- Mentor and lead junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing, reviews, documentation, and training.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Fieldglass in discussions with senior stakeholders including CxOs and department leads.
- Assist in proposal development, client strategy, and pre-sales support by articulating value propositions and ROI for Fieldglass solutions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Deep experience with multiple SAP Fieldglass modules including Contingent Worker, Statement of Work, and Worker Profile Management.
- Strong integration skills including API, web services, SFTP, middleware, and related technologies.
- Proven experience integrating Fieldglass with SAP ERP including ECC or S/4HANA, Ariba, and related systems.
- Solid functional and technical expertise in configuration design, customization management, testing, and data migration.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, services procurement, and contingent workforce processes and policies.
- Understanding of compliance, risk, data security, and labor regulations relevant to external workforce management.
- Proficiency in problem-solving, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and methodical thinking.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery models, including sprint-based releases and CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to data analytics, dashboards, and reporting for workforce spend and risk management is good to have.
- Familiarity with change management, user adoption, and training program design is good to have.
- SAP Fieldglass certifications and experience with global rollouts or multi-country deployments are preferred.
- Additional exposure to SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, or analytics tools is a plus.
Additional Information
- 6 to 9 years of experience with SAP Fieldglass or related Vendor Management and External Workforce Management Systems.
- Proven leadership experience including mentoring, reviewing, and guiding junior team members.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical topics for business audiences and lead workshops.
- Demonstrated collaboration across cross-functional teams and business units.
- Experience working across industries such as consulting, manufacturing, technology, and oil & gas.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Science.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science or Engineering.
