Summary:
As a Data Modeler, a typical day involves engaging closely with various stakeholders including business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects. The role focuses on understanding existing data structures and designing new data models that align with business needs and technical requirements. This position requires continuous collaboration and communication to ensure that data models are accurate, efficient, and scalable, supporting both current operations and future growth. The Data Modeler plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation through thoughtful data design and analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead the development and refinement of data models to ensure alignment with organizational goals and data governance standards.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business units to translate requirements into robust data structures.
- Mentor junior team members by providing guidance on best practices in data modeling and analytics.
- Continuously evaluate and improve data modeling processes to enhance efficiency and data quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable data models that support complex business processes.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data integration techniques.
- Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
