Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced ETL Designer to drive data integration design and delivery across enterprise data platforms. The role involves designing ETL solutions, performing data analysis, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring reliable data movement between upstream and downstream systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document ETL solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Analyze source and target systems and define data mappings and transformation logic.
- Create and review ETL design documents, technical specifications, and impact assessments.
- Support development teams during build, testing, and deployment phases.
- Troubleshoot data integration, connectivity, and data quality issues.
- Work closely with business analysts, architects, developers, and QA teams.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and enterprise standards.
- Participate in production support and root cause analysis when required.
Mandatory Skills:
- ETL & Data Integration
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data movement, and transformation techniques.
- Experience in designing complex ETL workflows.
SQL & Data Analysis:
- Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
- Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and validate results.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Infrastructure & Connectivity Fundamentals
- Understanding of upstream/downstream system integrations.
- Knowledge of connectivity setup and troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of:
- SSL connectivity
- Network/database connections
- ETL tool connectivity configurations
- File transfer and integration concepts
Preferred Skills:
- Talend ETL experience.
- Data Warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Reporting / BI exposure.
- Apache Superset or similar reporting tools.
- Experience in enterprise-scale data platforms.
Experience:
- Typically 6–10+ years of experience in Data Integration / ETL.
- Experience in ETL design and solutioning roles preferred.
